The moment you settle into Gaucho Parrilla Argentina, you’re embraced by an electric atmosphere filled with upbeat Latin music that elevates the dining experience with a lively, festive vibe. While the ambiance hums with energy, it’s the bold, expertly crafted dishes that truly steal the show.

The menu is a carnivore’s dream, spotlighting standout offerings like the legendary Asado Platter, a smoky, wood-fired masterpiece boasting a selection of juicy cuts grilled to perfection. The Parrillada Mixta is a crowd-pleaser designed for sharing, featuring nearly two pounds of meat including house-cut vacio served with vibrant chimichurri, perfectly seasoned grilled chicken with ajo chimichurri, and a robust chorizo sausage enlivened by pimenton chimmichurri — a taste symphony that thrills the senses.

For those craving handheld comfort, the Carne Sandwich and Steak Sandwich are packed with tender, succulent beef layered with fresh toppings and paired with a variety of complementary chimichurri sauces, from caramelized onion to pepper-infused versions, each adding complexity and brightness to every bite. The Empanadas de Carne and Beef Empanadas offer flaky, savory pockets filled with richly seasoned meats, perfectly balancing texture and flavor.

Not just a steakhouse, Gaucho also surprises with dishes like the Paella Del Gaucho, where yellow rice bathed in a luxurious achiote seafood broth hosts an exquisite medley of squid, shrimp, fish, and mussels. Vegetarians and those with lighter appetites can enjoy carefully prepared sides such as mushrooms and the alluring Provoletta, an indulgent melted cheese dish that melts on the palate.

Completing the experience are vibrant beverage options, from classic Mexican Coca-Cola and artisanal craft sodas like Boylan’s Cream and Birch Beers, to an espresso martini that offers a spirited finish to a satisfying meal.

Guests repeatedly praise Gaucho Parrilla Argentina’s unmatched quality and attention to detail. One diner raved about the perfectly cooked vacio and the exceptional quality of their chimichurri sauces that “elevate every bite.” Another highlighted the well-balanced Carne Sandwich cooked to a precise medium rare, paired flawlessly with the grilled flavors and accompanying sauces. I visited Pittsburg last weekend and my friend of mine recommended this restaurant. The foods were awesome, specially jumbo shrimp dish was soooo good. The noise level was quite high and Latin music was so loud (as most of the South American restaurants do) but the overall atmosphere was great.

Tried Gaucho Parrilla for the first time before the show last night. Been wanting to try them out and finally remembered to make reservations. We both ordered the sirloin flap steak (medium rare) and added the papas on the side. Also ordered a side of the corn pudding. A complementary flight of chimichurri (reg, caramelized onion, ajo, and pepper) was provided. Everything was very good. Steak was flavorful, tender, and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The chimichurri selection was nice. The pepper was my favorite. The corn pudding stole the show. Creamy, studded with crispy pork, and topped with pepper oil. Sebastian our server was funny and attentive. Only two issues, it’s a bit loud and the food was a little on the luke warm side (seems to be a problem these days when dining out). Either issue was not enough to ruin the experience. We will be back.

Aqui está uma versão em inglês, natural e adequada para um review no Google — elogiosa, clara e com o ponto final levantado sem soar rude: ⸻ This restaurant is fantastic, and I’d even say it’s one of the best in Pittsburgh. The vacio is phenomenal, and their chimichurri is outstanding. On our last visit, we decided to try the burger — since there aren’t many non-“patty style” options in the city — and it was an excellent surprise: perfectly cooked, great flavor from the wood fire, and high-quality ingredients. My only point of attention: what kind of steakhouse isn’t open on Sundays? In South America, especially in Argentina, Sunday is typically the busiest day for steakhouses. Other than that, it’s a great spot for anyone who loves good meat.

Came here on my anniversary after seeing that the place was constantly booked. It held up! I'm not really a meat person and I was astounded by how well they made their meats here. So tender, spiced, and they pair extremely well with the different flavor sauces they provide - each yielding either smoky, sour, or spicy as needed. The staff were so kind and had a great sense of humor. I highly recommend this place for dates and meat connoisseurs.

I walked by this place on my way to Highmark for a convention event and the smell alone was enough to have me switch my dinner reservation to this place instead. We were just two, but we got a steak sandwich and one of their entree salads. Both came with what seemed like a whole sirloin and they were both cooked to perfection. This salad was the Cadillac of all salads: it came with abocyand asparagus and potatoes! It was so very tasty! The food came with a few dipping sauces that were fun to try. We also got a bottle of wine. Our server was so genuine in helping us make a selection. He admitted we hadn't tried menu of the wines we were considering but offered suggestions for what other customers had liked. He even went and asked someone for more details on one wine for us. Excellent service! We didn't have room for dessert, but everything we did eat was so good. I would recommend this place to anyone!
